The responsibility of opening a new Kennards Self Storage centre no matter where, brings to all involved great responsibility.

When Trish and I were assigned the task of opening Kennards Self Storage Macquarie Park, we felt very excited and proud that we were chosen from a pool of equally talented KSS Team Members, to work on such an elite project as the new KSS flagship Macquarie Park centre linked with the absolutely stunning new KSS Team Headquarters.

With any new centre comes trial and error and stumbling blocks that need to be worked through. As time progressed the centre began to shine and the customers were starting to move-in.

The state of the art Office and Box Shop are a pleasure to conduct business in, with a very modern and unique look, while still holding true to the Kennards Brand. The gardens at the front of the centre are a must see, even if you aren’t storing. Probably best admired from Verace Pizzeria/café on the Ground floor.

Macquarie Park has all the modern features of a new Kennards centre, with PIN access, individually alarmed spaces and CCTV surveillance with 16 cameras throughout the centre, all while having access 24 hours 7 days a week. Plus the super-size Customer Conference Room and Kennards first Internet Hotspot work station for customers to use on the run.

Nearly a year down the track now and we are heading to over 60% occupancy and planning to move ahead with the Stage 2 build. We are enjoying the rewards from our earlier efforts and receive many compliments from customers and visitors to the centre.

We feel privileged that we were given the challenge of opening and building up Macquarie Park and being part of the KSS flagship centres history.
