At Kennards we have been working for some time on the design and approval for an expansion to our 2 Gibson avenue, Bankstown self storage centre.

We are excited to confirm that we are now undertaking these works.

There will be new spaces built, each with our up to date standard and individual alarms, new undercover loading areas and a thorough refresh of the facility including new concrete driveways, improved lighting, safer traffic control methods, wider truck turning circles and easier access through relocated security PIN pads and reprofiling of the entry/exit driveway.

In the interest of safety and to minimise disruption as much as possible, the project will commence with the aged driveway being replaced with heavy duty concrete. We will then return with the builders to begin demolition and then ultimately the construction of the new buildings.

We regret limited access will be available for some affected customers during the works to minimise disruption for all customers.

Demolition and construction will commence from August 15th. We aim for the entire project to be complete before March 2019. Plans are available at the centre for our customers showing the new, expanded buildings and changes.

We do apologise for any inconvenience and thank you for your understanding in our efforts to continually improve our self-storage facilities. Precautions will be employed by the contractor and Kennards to protect customer’s goods.
